General Services

  • ITD plans to release an Indico test environment details coming soon

  • Rafael will ask developers about adding new members in bulk

  • Initial plan likely includes authentication SDCC/ITD AD/CILogon

Storage Group

  • T3 can’t mount PHENIX pnfs

  • call for testing XCache

 

HPSS status

  • STAR tape library moving from RCF room to CDCE room

  • LTO5/LTO6 access may be affected for a few weeks until completion

 

Linux Farm

  • PPM finalized purchase for RHC/ATLAS/BelleII awarded to AMD/Supermicro ~8 weeks ETA

  • arrival of 8 new machines for RHIC/T3 interactive access

  • plan is to move current interactive physical hosts to Virtual Machines

  • ~ 2 week schedule for the migration

  • proposal to revisit HTCondor policy: hold jobs that ran > 3 days as opposed to evict/restart

  • demo of new condor monitoring using Elasticsearch, Kibana, Beats, Logstash

  • Liaisons asked for status of making our CVMFS available to OSG for replication

  • SDCC responded with internal discussion should first be taken offline more info will follow
