Facility News

• Terry Healy will join and work on BNLBox analytics, usage, scaleability

Network Operations

• preparations complete for B725 network equipment

• consolodation of services to RHEV

Storage (Disk and Tape)

• generating increased load on JBOD to test new storage monitoring system

• investigating plans to increase storage density

• HPSS wave of staging for ATLAS whereas STAR is currently light

General Services

• Reminder upcoming deadline for MFA email is 4/15/20

• roundcube webmail test server already updated with MFA and mobile friendly skin

• plan to cut over to production soon

• details will come at next meeting in two weeks

Fabric group

• Supermicro gave remote access for testing Intel’s Cascasde Lake Refresh CPUs

• These offer additional cores, higher clock frequencies and cache at same or lower price

• These may compete better with AMD for the upcoming Farm purchase
