Facility News
- Welcome Jerome Lauret as a SDCC Deputy Director and point for EIC matters
- Welcome Jeff Landgraf as new STAR Liaison to SDCC
- Welcome Paul Laycock as new Belle-II Liaison to SDCC
- We are updating SDCC/Liaison mailing lists
Network Operations
- It has been increasingly challenging to accomplish on-site tasks after Friday 3/13/2020 MINSAFE
- B515 network hardware retirement/refresh and B725 preparations for early operation are halted
- Procurement for 200GbE hardware evaluation are continuing
- IPv4 clean-up and IPv6 planning continues
- Planning for future installations (CFN, DDN storage for DGX-2 in B725/1-181, network for B725 CFR MDH)
- Lustre MDSes and CH buffer storage area for STAR, expecting hardware delivery 4/10/2020 for rack [45-5]
- Construction has stopped for fiber tray in basement needed for connecting new B515 SciCore to B725
- CFR construction has stopped in B725
- Exact timeline and impact of COVID-19 pandemic on LHC restart in CY2021 is yet unknown
Storage (Disk and Tape)
- Belle storage servers just had upgraded BIOS/FW after some recent issues seems better now
- HPSS engineer came on site last Friday to service the library, and operations have been stable
General Services
- DOE has mandated that all non-MFA protected IMAP servers at DOE facilities be blocked 4/15/2020
- RCF email server will continue to operate as described below

Fabric
- Farm purchase requirements were updated to allow one of the new Cascade Lake Refresh CPU
- No timeline yet for the new equipment to be operational
- Condor update is almost complete, slight reduction during the updates, but no downtime
- HPC operations have been stable
Services & Tools
- working on externally facing web pages
- working on making BNLBox available by non-NPP stakeholders
