Facility News

• testing SDCC federated ID management to join InCommon
• allows SDCC users to authenticate to external resources
• PHENIX data preservation leveraging our expertise with Invenio Zenodo

Network Operations

• ongoing cleanups and deployments
• STAR counting house bugger storage delivery
• sanitization and removal of row 50N to prepare for Fabric purchase delivery next month
• 2 x JBOD storage delivery for EIC Lustre and ATLAS dCache
• finalize schedule of transition 515 -> 725
• dependencies B515 basement fibre and consolidation retirement of legacy ATLAS block

Storage (Disk and Tape)

• HPSS has been stable for STAR ATLAS and B2
• tape supply is ample for now ATLAS ~450 and STAR ~500
• PHENIX was upgraded to dCache 5.2 around December but ATLAS still needs upgrade
• speaking with dCache developers to upgrade ATLAS directly to 6 sometime in June

General Services

• testing NSX with MFA and Kerberos auth
• updates to our WebDocs and external facing web pages

Fabric

• ATLAS PHENIX STAR (73 nodes) new purchase expected by end of June delivery
• delay retirement of row 50 N in preparation for as long as possible based on ETA
• testing new singularity version with a play machine before updating across Fabric
• testing the new GS IPA doesn’t break anything on Fabric side

Services & Tools

• Development of the Invenio Zenodo tools for PHENIX data preservation
• BNLBox Cloud Storage development command line transfer script is in users home directories
• most experiments are running CVMFS on our stratum 0
• if you are not please let us know and we can change UID GID

AOB

• working on final plan for RHIC to restart likely mid-late summer
