 A recent blind test of classical algorithms was performed on the ground state of Benzene (https://arxiv.org/abs/2008.02678).  In this talk I review the results of this work with a focus on the strengths and limitations of the various algorithms.  I will then discuss what this implies for quantum computing for this system and the challenges involved to go beyond classical simulations.
