Several nearby airports provide easy access to Sacramento.

The closest option is the Sacramento International Airport (SMF), located 16 km from downtown Sacramento and the convention center. The airport website includes information about ground transportation options between the airport and downtown, including taxis, ride-sharing apps and the Yolobus (route 42A takes approximately 20 minutes to connect from the airport to a stop one block from the convention center at the corner of L Street and 13th Street, and route 42B connects back to the airport from the same location).  Sacramento offers limited direct international flights, but has connections to many major U.S. airports including San Francisco (SFO), Los Angeles (LAX), Seattle (SEA), Chicago (ORD), Atlanta (ATL), New York (JFK), Newark (EWR) and others.

Other nearby airports include San Francisco (SFO, 160 km) and Oakland (OAK, 140 km). Travelers flying into these airports and not taking connecting flights to Sacramento may wish to rent vehicles or may consider using the Capitol Corridor Amtrak train to travel to Sacramento.  There is no direct connection to Amtrak from either airport, it is necessary to transfer to the train by taking BART.  There is a transfer station at the Oakland Coliseum/Oakland Airport BART station.  To reach the Capitol Corridor train from SFO, take BART to the Richmond station and transfer there.  Tickets for the train can be bought in advance from https://www.capitolcorridor.org/tickets, or may be purchased on the train.   The Sacramento Amtrak Station is about 2 km away from the hotels, which can be reached on foot or by public transit.
