As part of a temporary security mitigation, LaTeX-based PDF generation has been disabled in Indico. During this period, the following features will be unavailable:

• PDF generation for event materials

  • Book of Abstracts

  • Book of Proceedings

  • Timetables exported as PDF

• Printable versions of content

  • Printable event agendas/timetables

  • Printable contribution/session listings

• Badge and materials generation (if configured via LaTeX)

  • Conference badges generated via LaTeX templates

  • Certain custom print templates

• Any plugin or feature relying on LaTeX rendering

  • Custom PDF templates using LaTeX

  • Advanced formatting exports

What is not affected:

• Web view of all events, timetables, and contributions

• Data exports (CSV, Excel, etc.)

• Submission, registration, and review workflows

This is a temporary change. Full PDF/LaTeX functionality will be restored once the system is upgraded to a secure, containerized LaTeX setup.
