BNL Indico will undergo scheduled maintenance on Saturday, October 3, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM ET.

This maintenance includes an upgrade of the core Indico platform from version 3.3.8 to 3.3.13, along with an update of the BNL Phonebook plugin to version 1.0.3. A three-hour maintenance window has been reserved to complete the upgrades and perform post-upgrade validation.

Scheduled Downtime

Users should plan for Indico to be unavailable during the 1:00 PM–4:00 PM ET maintenance window.

Service may be restored earlier if the upgrade and validation process is completed ahead of schedule. Please avoid scheduling critical Indico activity during this period.

What’s Changing?

The upgrade incorporates the improvements introduced across Indico versions 3.3.9 through 3.3.13, including a number of security, reliability, accessibility, and usability updates.

Some highlights for BNL Indico users include:

• Favorite contributions – Users can mark individual contributions as favorites, making it easier to keep track of talks and presentations of interest.

• Improved accessibility – Expanded keyboard navigation, screen-reader support, focus handling, and other accessibility improvements across timetables, event pages, dashboards, dialogs, and other areas of Indico.

• Registration improvements – More flexible permissions for registration and check-in activities, along with several improvements to registration forms and registration management.

• Easier bulk selection – Shift+Click selection and deselection is available in supported data tables, making it easier to work with larger lists.

• Improved contribution exports – Contribution CSV and Excel exports now include contribution keywords, providing more complete information when exporting event data.

• Security and reliability updates – The upgrade includes security fixes, bug fixes, and other maintenance improvements introduced throughout the 3.3 release series.

• BNL Phonebook Plugin 1.0.3 – The BNL Phonebook integration used to synchronize supported collaboration groups with Indico will also be updated as part of this maintenance.
