Introduction - Jin
 
BUP2021 is under preparation (deadline May 30). We will
argue for 28 cryo-weeks, since 20-week runs will not be
cost-effective: we will lose pA runs completely and the
impact of B->D v2 will be reduced, for example. Please
send us plots if you have any.
 
Ming: MVTX meeting is moved to Monday due to the
future organization discussions on Friday.
 
Ming has presented his preliminary ideas for the future
sPHENIX organization.
 
Yasser: There was a gap between hardware and analysis
  groups in ALICE.
Jin: Communication between the two groups is important.
  How can we encourage that? Any ideas?
Ming: Regular joint meetings, for example.
 
Yasser: In ALICE, there are 3-6 months of service tasks for
   students and postdocs for detector-related areas.
Hideki: In CMS, 6 months of service tasks for the authorship,
   and ~4 months annually after obtaining the authorship.
 
Hideki: How are the conference speakers chosen in PHENIX?
Jin: Speakers for high profile conferences are chosen for
   those with significant contributions. Other talks are less
   formally chosen.
Hideki: ATLAS maybe has the most automated speaker
   nomination system among the LHC experiments with the
   ranking in the database.
Cameron: The current sPHENIX style is similar to LHCb.

Cameron: The new macro now works with vectors. Please
   note that the older versions with arrays will no longer run.
 
Cameron: How many events do we want for MB? 10M?
Jin: MB should run faster than ccbar, right?
Cameron: Actually, the reconstruction takes more time than
   the simulation: 70~90 sec/event. 
Jin: Interesting. We need lots of MB events, so let's produce
   50M. We may also consider high qhat samples afterwards.
   Also, we will need fastsim.
Yasser: The pthard samples are also considered in ALICE.
Hideki: Can the fastsim-smeared tracks be propagated to
   jet finding?
Cameron: They can be propagated.
Jin: However, for jet studies, the upcoming full simulation
   samples should be sufficient.
 
Zhaozhong: I did not manage to run with ana.241 previously,
   but will try again. Something crashed with the forward ECAL.
Jin: The forward ECAL part was moved to ECCE. In any case,
  you should not have a line for the forward ECAL in your macro.
Zhaozhong: I will check.

Cameron: Are the numbers really events or actually entries?
Zhaozhong: They are entries.
Cameron: OK. The entries correspond to the number of
   candidates. The bbbar samples have more candidates due to
   more tracks.
 
p.3:
Jin,Yasser: How did you get the prompt/non-prompt ratio?
Zhaozhong: The raw numbers are considered.
Jin: You need to scale the numbers by the cross section. They
   are saved in the DST files.
Yasser: Do we have the information of the pythia header file?
Jin: In DST, yes.
Cameron: KFParticle has information from the HepMC files.
 
p.4:
Jin: I want to see the acceptance efficiency. It should be different
   with and without phi.
Ming: Are these ccbar or bbbar only? No QCD background?
Jin: ccbar or bbbar only. QCD background is yet to be produced.
 
Yasser: Which plots can I show in my upcoming talk?
Jin: All the plots in sPH-HF-2021-001. The bottom plots are not
   public.
 
Hideki, Ming: Please clarify in the plots whether they are from
   the ccbar or bbbar.
 
Sebastian: There is a systematic shift in the mass from the PDG
   value.
Zhaozhong: Yes, around +5 MeV in D^+.
Cameron: I did not see such a shift in local-filtered samples.
Jin: It is worth checking whether the shift stays after the truth
   tagging. Generating private samples with D^+ particle gun is
   another approach to check.
 
Hideki: We should prepare an overleaf so that Zhaozhong can
   put his new plots.
Jin: Yes. Just to confirm, the next note will be with complete
   MDC1 studies. We don't plan to submit many small notes
  with work-in-progress figures.
