- Ping—Update on detector proposal organization
- The physics section will be arranged by physics topics rather than physics working group
- Each working group will provide 2-3 plots. However, other physics studies/contributions will also be referenced in the detector proposal. Therefore, we encourage everyone to have an analysis notes/documentation on arXiv at the end.
- A godparent will be assigned to each physics study later on.
- Cameron—KFParticle in Fun4All: A reconstruction package for HF decays
- Q: Is KFParticle tested for light mesons reconstruction? It will be good to test KFParticle with light mesons before using it on HF reconstruction.
A: It is tested light mesons reconstruction in sPHENIX.
- Q: Are secondary particles included in the reconstruction process?
A: No. Further discussion with sPHENIX on how to include secondary particles in KFParticles.
- Q: Is reconstruction efficiency included in the package?
A: No. But reconstruction efficiency can be studied with the addition of HEMPC particles and MCpart in the analysis.
- Q: Is the package using true tracks?
A: one can look at true tracks by switching map
- Q: Does KFParticles use true primary vertices from the event generator?
A: No. There’s a problem reading true primary vertex. The package is using fake primary vertices currently. Therefore the package can’t calculate DCA.
- Rosi— Plan for EIC jet study
- Top priority: jet-h correlation and jet ReA
Prefer jet-h correlation over h-h correlation as the jet resolution is better than track resolution
- Performance plots: jet RES, jet scale, and calorimeter performance study
- Potential study: Particle-flow jet reconstruction.
sPHENIX study shows that particle-flow jet can improve angular resolution and pT response and unable the measurement of jet sub-structure observable
- Comments: jet spacial resolution, eta and phi resolutions, and efficiency are also valuable
