XinBai Li: Update on J/psi production study

  • Fast simulation using PythiaeRHIC with detector requirements from the Yellow report
  • Results: J/psi mass spectrum and J/psi dynamic distribution
  • Plan to include more realistic PID performance in the smearing

Nathan Grau: First look at two-particle correlations with tracking

  • Goal: two-particle correlations in eA vs ep  to study saturation
  • Initial study of ep collisions using Pythia6 with Q2>20 GeV2 and detector simulation
  • Potential gluon content study via qqbar dijets using opposite charge track correlations or via jet charge study
  • Comment: consider the beam crossing angle effect on the two-particle correlations

Ping: update and discussion

  • Proposed supporting notes for the detector proposal
  • A new policy of giving public talks related to ECCE
  • Suggest fast simulation with detector requirements from the Yellow report to compared to the performance of ECCE detector design
