John: Jet finding using Centauro algorithm
- Goal: access TMD physics
- Advantage of Centauro algorithm: it can properly capture the current jet and separate it from the beam remnant jets
- An initial simulation study using 2000 events of SIDIS group simulation output with high Q2 and ECCE detector setup close to July concept
- In full simulation: transformation from lab frame to Breit frame using truth and reconstructed e- information to obtain x, Q2, and virtual photon momentum
- For truth information: transform the event generator frame to the lab frame and then to the Briet frame
- Both calorimeters (mid rapidity and forward regions) and track jets are studied with a jet cone of 0.8 (may adjust the number in the later study)
- Results agree well with Centauro paper
- Discussion
- Calorimeter jets results appear to have some noise. Need to figure out how to calibrate the calorimeter jet response
- Low count in track jets. It could be an efficiency issue
