      Weekly news 5m

Conveners briefly update with news, comments and new directions from the Steering Committee (if any).

we did not request to SWG

      manpower support and QA
      need better communication

time-of-flight layers are not in (this is the baseline)

      repo will be tagged

communication for the MC exercise over mailing list, last

production webpage? we could put up one.

      Roundtable updates

Updates from the main efforts with details about the progress in the activity. Please, be short and prepare a few (maximum three) slides focusing on what has been achieved since the last meeting.

        DIRC 3m

Advice on design, simulation, performance issues

Speakers: Grzegorz Kalicy (CUA), Joe Schwiening (GSI)

setup a meeting for tomorrow with Dmitry to see status of DIRC simulation, with experts

        mRICH 3m

        Simulation & performance studies

Speaker: Murad Sarsour (Georgia State University)

        implemented projective geometry
needs to fix photons trapped in the lens
--> setup of the lens is problematic

acceptance does not change with projective geometry
--> surprised there is no impact

not much from mRICH from this test... will be more like dead material

      • 12:11
        dRICH 3m
Speakers: Christopher Dilks (Duke University), Evaristo Cisbani (Italian National Institute of Heath and Italian Institute of Nuclear Physics)

very very preliminary geometry in dd4hep.

many sensors in place, probably do not need these many

working on connecting the reconstruction code

        separation between aerogel and gas?

what space is behind the RICH?
        we need to double check

how we control the space allocation per detector sub-system? in general? overlaps?

      Presentations

This is time devoted to a longer discussion with a presentation of work done or to be done, if there is any and if there is the need for that.

      AoB 5m

In case there is any other business to discuss, we can take it here. If discussion takes longer than 5 minutes, it means that it needs a proper space and will be point for next week.
