Facility News and Announcement
- Vincent Garonne joined the facility
SDCC Network Operations
- NETOPS update on track - B725 Network equipment fully activated
- CPU purchase for SPHENIX also anticipated and to be activated
- Construction zone - safety equipment required - safety hat, glasses,shoes
Experimental Computing
- DUNE - work on distributed data management - Singularity
- CSI Quantum - db being built to support full schema
- NSLS II meeting with management and Cyber - Cyber document work
- Federated ID - work with user management
- DOE Google offering - emailed survey - end of the week
IT Fabric
- HPSS upgrade completed - write performance adjusted by resolving settings in hpss.conf file and restarting hpss mover processes
- Core crash - limits adjusted and resolved
- Enabled 'migration by directory' feature for ATLAS
- ELK monitoring moved to new cluster , scheduling shutdown of the old cluster
- GPFS updates done in rolling manner
- Farm purchase - ATLAS and RHIC systems
IT Services
- Drupal 9 updates - resolving few issues
- RT Upgrade - Multiple accounts - flagging of secondary accounts
Tools and Services
- Overleaf - Signed up for 1 year - limited number of licenses available for programs without initial funding, will be charged later. IEEE/APS member licenses/CERN accounts - separate Overleaf license
- Elog service made online for PHENIX
NSLS II Computing Activities
- NSLS II workshops - detailed, prefer for longer durations
- Globus data transfer - multi terabytes
- Big Data - approx. 10 to 20 terabytes move to university, for analysis shared with permissions
