Facility News and Announcements

  • Qiulan Huang - new staff member
  • One more open position

Experimental Computing

  • EIC - Computing general meeting scheduled next week, discuss general topic of interest
  • STAR - Run preparation - address issues
  • CAD/NP-QCD - checking for group storage/data transfer methods, need to create a group account for them
  • DUNE - work on production system, OSG like submission, token authentication needs to be tested
  • ATLAS/Jupyter/FederatedID - Enabled for SLAC/BNL accounts, next check with CERN
  • Google email - meet up with technical team  for transfer details,currently only for users who are actively using the SDCC email account, approx 100. Support - for PHENIX/SPHENIX users, open up Google services for users , issues regarding the email services
  • InvenioRDM - work plan on the next version 6  update

IT Fabric

  • HPSS move next week announced
  • STAR Mock Data - will be scheduled
  • NSLS II/Jupyter -  notebooks suspended due to oversubsciption -resolved later
  • sPHENIX Farm purchase PO dispatched

IT  Services Update

  • MFA push configs close to ready
  • IC update GPFS next week
  • Belle II CDB - debugging issues for connections

Tools and Services

  • WLCG Tape data improvements
  • Update facility documentation ongoing
  • Researching Redirect module for SDCC website
