Flemming Videbaek's retirement celebration

US/Eastern
Description

Dr. Videbaek has a long and distinguished career in experimental nuclear physics, starting with low energy at Niels Bohr Institute, Argonne National Laboratory, and ranging from being the Spokesperson for the BRAHMS Experiment since its inception at RHIC to serving as the Upgrade Manager in the STAR Collaboration from 2009 to 2017. Flemming has been instrumental in studying the baryon stopping mechanism with careful analyses of data from AGS, SPS and RHIC and critical for the success of the Heavy Flavor Tracker and inner Time Projection Chamber upgrades at STAR. Flemming will be retiring in February 2022 after 32 years at BNL. Today it is our honor to celebrate Flemming's retirement.
