Facility News and Announcements

  • Change to Hybrid Meetings, room to be arranged.

 

Experimental Computing

  • EIC  - quote for increased storage. Will require load balancer/Lustre for future maintenance. Will not affect sPHENIX operations.
  • NSLS - client eviction issues will be tested. Globus servers were updated yesterday.
  • STAR - security issues resolved

 

IT Fabric

  • HPSS Upgrade announcement will be sent
  • Purchase of more GPU nodes for the IC gen2/requires more physical space - as there will be retirement of some IC nodes in the current fiscal year

 

IT Services Update

  • Keycloak issues as SSL cert had expired - resolved with certmonger
  • STAR adminscripts interfering with user job access, needs to be checked
  • sPHENIX MediaWiki increased the logout time period, helps to resolve issues to an extent

 

Tools and Services

  • SDCC website development almost done, Data Art contract with BNL  has expired.
  • dCache version upgrade tests
  • STAR new Calibration db tables created
