Description

Science is entering a new era in the investigation of nuclear matter,
driven by a wealth of precision data from the JLab, HERA, RHIC, & LHC
experiments.  While analyses of these data are traditionally performed
within the framework of the QCD parton model, new methods such as
Lattice QCD, Machine Learning, and others, can provide complementary
information.  Efforts within the nCTEQ and xFitter collaborations are
partnering with topical nuclear theory activities to combine and
interpret these studies.  The sum of this work, together with future
EIC data, will yield the most detailed picture of nuclei, and advance
our opportunity to possibly “solve” the underlying QCD theory of
strong interactions.
