Description
Realistic and accurate theoretical predictions for LHC processes are crucial for the high-energy physics community, especially in view of the increasing level of precision of current and future experimental measurements. In this context, the matching between fixed-order calculations and parton shower simulations plays a fundamental role, as it represents one of the key building blocks for the construction of precise and fully-differential predictions at colliders.
In this talk, I will present the MiNNLOPS method, a framework that matches fixed-order computations at next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) in QCD with parton shower (PS) simulations. I will discuss a selection of interesting phenomenological results at NNLO+PS accuracy, and present potential future developments and outlooks.
