INTT Weekly meeting

Description

INTT 2025/5/2 9:00am

Study of INTT Overflow flags : Shan-Yu Chen

Overflow flag is studied using the 1M Au+Au events in 2024.
    Results  shows:
+ Overflow is localized at certain ladders.
+  The amounts of the overflow is strongly correlated with the hot channels.
-> overflow is significantly reduced by using the hot map.
      ->   some overflow still remain.

+ checked the correlation w/ adjacent(pre/next) events and BCO interval
      ->  no correlation w/ the previous/next event
->   no correlation w/ BCO interval

+ the fraction of overflow hits = 0.007 % including FULLCHIP and FULLROC
-> no visible effect on the data analysis

  Questions:
+ online channel mask may help reducing the overflow flag. good to check

   Proposal from the discussion
     -  The hot channel/chip should be masked by online.
     -  Shan-Yu and ChengWei provides the channel mask in the online format.

GL1-INTT matching at packet level : Genki NUKAZUKA

+ BCO matching between GL1-INTT was studied with 2025 cosmic data (2months).
the matching fraction was different with the INTT servers. INTT0 shows lowest fraction.
+ matching fraction was changed by time Apr/12 and Apr/26
      - the hot channel mask was changed on Apr/26

+ increasing BCO range of the searching window to sync between GL1 and BCO can help

+ INTT tracking with EMC require GL1 BCO. it is hard to do this because we study the BCO problem

+ Next step to understand the situation
-> checking the raw level data can help?

INTT Simulation Optimization : Milan Stojanovic (Purdue University)
  + Welcome back to INTT!!
+ INTT response in simulation was different with data found in dN/deta and other analyses.
-> diffusion tuning doesn't fix the problem

+ discussed about the analysis plan

BeamTest analysis update for Publication : Cheng-Wei Shih
+  beam test analysis was updated.
-> systematic error on the ADC distribution is evaluated by using 6th ADC bin matching
-> detection efficiency was systematically checked with several conditions
       -  all the values are ~99.5%
       -  position dependence was also studied.

All the plots were to be shown in the paper
  - need to review carefully
  - Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to review the analyses and plots in the meeting.
     Plan to discuss next week.

Call for the paper preparation for the 3rd test beam experiment : Genki
