Description

Two distinct factorization theorems encode the knowledge of the nucleon structure in terms of the collinear parton distribution functions
(PDFs) and transverse momentum dependent distribution functions (TMDs). These functions are the key for our understanding of one dimensional and three dimensional structures of the nucleon. In this talk, I will discuss the theoretical connection between PDFs and TMDs, and present preliminary results from a global, simultaneous QCD analysis of both types of distributions.
