Minutes BHCal Meeting 2025-09-12, compiled by Anjaly and Stefan

General
    •    Stefan is editing the preTDR
    •    Oleg:  date for the page turn and review might slip a little bit
    •    Ravi Koka (Sevil Salur’s Rutgers group) wants to join the hardware efforts (Apply for DOE fellowship to be at BNL)
    •    Stefan showed the neutron fluence plots as a function of distance, from Fredi. (Macro and plots attached to the indico agenda) Questions raised by Murad and Oleg:
    •    Width of beam gas interactions (plot should be more smeared out)
    •    Plan to invite John Haggerty and Fredi to meeting next week
PROTOTYPE STATUS AND PLANS
Anjaly:
    •    Martin and Anjaly moved trigger setup from Hcal lab to high bay. (Moved the previous NIM crate, HV PS, function generator, HGCROC board and the two scintillator paddles)
    •    Tested reading out 16 tiles from the prototype.
    •    But, timing (or something else) seems to be not right—this will be revisited next week.
Olaiya
    •    Plots of the cosmics phase scan data taken in hcal lab in May. (Cable length of 400 cm)
    •    Double peaks appearing due to an issue in code?
    •    Olaiya wrote his own code; needs direct comparison with what Norbert had.
Problem with neutron simulation still there (one point looks wrong)
