      Jigs

      • The manufacturing takes about 20 - 25 days
      • A big queue of work currently, and they are unlikely to be able to do it until January
      • Asked Tim to submit the job formally
      • A question:  the tolerances would be interpreted as a 'target' rather than a requirement?

      Wire-bonding

      • No progress since the last meeting, but Liam will work on it from this week with high priority

      Dummy silicon

      • Nanosystems JP will be on New Year holidays from mid-December

Other remarks - babyMOSAIX test system 10m
Speaker: Long Li (University of Birmingham)

Long's e-mail discussions with Gianluca and Valerio about purchasing the FPGA test set-up needed from CERN. The latest response is below:

      Dear Long-li,

A possible solution is to learn how to use the system—comprising the emulator board coupled to the DAQ board—together with Daresbury using the already existing hardware, avoiding the need to purchase new cards at this stage.

Following this initial test phase, once the baby-Mosaix boards are distributed, a single test system per laboratory would be sufficient for characterization work. At that point, you could purchase one directly from Daresbury.

Please let us know if this approach would be feasible for you and the team at Daresbury.

      Best regards,

      Gianluca and Valerio
