Ongoing tests on ITS3 FPC: Eye Diagrams and TDR

• Limited by instruments capability. Oscilloscope: 4GHz bandwidth. Wave pulser: 2GHz bandwidth, 6 GS/s

 

Orders placed (most items expected by end of June)

• 2x breakout boards for BERT with Enclustra FPGA (2 FPGA already available) 
• Lecroy wave pulser for s-parameters and TDR measurements 
• 10x ITS3 half-moon PCBs per type and 20x 2,92 mm 18GHz connectors

 

Surveying 16 GHz bandwidth oscilloscope for eye diagrams. Longer purchase procedure. Purchase expected in the second half of the year.

 

SVT IB prototypes A (for signal integrity testing) and B (for wire bonding tests) received from LTU

• Preparing support for wire bonding and testing
• Next: try wire bonding with prototypes B

 

Master student dedicated to FPC testing has started his thesis a few weeks ago
