Storage Group

  • update the firmware on home directories storage and RHEV storage

  • 2 new STAR gpfs servers and new SSD storage coming

  • STAR received 200 TB capacity for gpfs storage

  • EIC received 300 TB capacity for gpfs storage

Collaborative Tools

  • self-hosted Rocket Chat – an open source collaborative messaging tool similar to Slack

  • admin page created to allow subgroups and a mechanism to approve/deny group requests

Linux Farm

  • Supermicro machines should arrive mid August

  • gpfs upgrade schedule over 4 weeks (25% Farm will drain at a time)

  • NSLS machines are provisioned
