Experiments such as T2K and NOvA report the calculation of the cross-section (neutrino interactions) as the major contributor of systematic uncertainties in the measurement of oscillations. Detection of tau neutrinos from oscillations over distances from terrestrial to cosmic scales require the tau neutrino cross section for energies ranging from GeV to EeV. Tau neutrino flux attenuation and tau neutrino regeneration in the Earth also depends on the cross section.
The theoretical status of the tau neutrino cross section over this broad energy range is reviewed.

Neutrino interaction cross-sections have been measured at fixed target experiments and, at higher energies, by neutrino telescopes which observe neutrino absorption in the Earth.  In this talk, I will discuss current cross-section measurements and future prospects.
