Description
We have been discussing the need for R&D consortia around some key technologies in the US since years. A role model would be the CERN DR collaborations. Should CPAD be the coordinating body for this? Decide which are the key technologies? Would individual labs be coordinating individual consortia? What would be the funding model? What would be their timescale, 5 years terms to be renewed? How do these connect with the new DRD collaborations in Europe?
