MPGD layer simulation studies by Shyam:

Shyam studied the tracking performance with different combinations of either missing 1 layer or two layers of MAPS and MPGD barrel subsystems. Provide the first results of the impacts of the tracking dead area, will compare with the Fun4All simulation studies by Stephen. Suggested to check the impacts in the tracking finding and study the tracking performance in the low momentum region.

Update on the angular resolution of the tracking system for the Brycecanyon geometry by Wenqing:

With the Geometrhy tag: Brycecanyon and new MARCO field map. Endcap TOF hits not included in the track fitting due to code crash. Evaluated the theta and phi angle resolutions. Found unphysical behavior in the low momentum region and forward rapidity region. This is probably correlated with lacking of no. of hits in the tracking finding in the forward rapidity and low momentum region. Suggest to separate the ACTS tracking related developments from the impacts of the tracking detector geometry. Suggestion to perform dedicated forward/backward track algorithm studies. Wenqing also compared tracking performance between the Arches and Bryce Canyon configurations and found no differences. This is due to MPGD DIRC is not integrated into ACTS reconstruction.

Tracking Efficiency Studies with Realistic Seeding by Beatrice Liang-Gilman:

Beatrice studied the tracking efficiency for low momentum and backward rapidity region. She uses the tracking efficiency defined as the number of matched tracks over the number of tracks. plan to update the matching criteria and use the number of hits and chi2 variable in the track selection.

Synchrotron radiation studies by Rey:

Worked with B. Sterwerf and updated the SR event processing for the generated photo samples. Updated the no. of hits distributions for different tracking layers/planes and predict much lower SR rates. Compared the new results with the old (biased) studies and studied with different methods to get consistent results. One issue found for the EPIC events storage, the file name remains the same but the content keeps changing. Will contact the simulation QA WG to address this issue.

There are minutes attached to this event. Show them.
