Description

Also in small seminar room.

Abstract: Ultralight bosons exhibit wave behavior when their occupation number is high. Their interaction with the Standard Model particles physics can engender a tiny detectable signal, characterized by the oscillatory boson background. In the vicinity of a rapidly rotating black hole, ultralight bosons falling within a specific mass range accumulate via superradiance, resulting in a high field value potentially approaching the Planck scale. The talk will cover some examples of consequences, including axion-induced birefringence, gravitational deflection of photon geodesics, and parametric production of neutrino fluxes.
