Meeting topics:

Roman pots support system, motion control, and sensor arrangements.

Some discussion of the lumi system.

Discussion was focused primarily on the best options for the Roman pots motion and arrangement.

Option 1: L-shaped setup with horizontal section (on the tunnel side) for one of the wings. Problems are that it is hard to cool, and makes the setup a lot more complicated.

--> requires 6 motors

Option 2: 4 stations - two with large, vertically-moving rectangular arrangements (top and bottom), and then two stations containing the "wings" which move vertically (for going "home") and horizontally for covering the full acceptance.

--> simpler setup for cooling, each chamber is simpler, but requires 8 motors.

Chang also mentioned a slightly more complex system much like the previous iris idea we have discussed before. It has promise, but needs to be better fleshed-out before it is considered (he will present on this soon).
