Code of Conduct

All attendees, sponsors and volunteers at our conference are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organizers will ensure this code throughout the event.

Participants will be considerate and respectful to each other. Participants are expected to refrain from harassing, discriminatory or demeaning conduct. Creating a supportive environment to enable scientific discussion at meetings is the responsibility of all participants.

Participants will avoid any inappropriate actions or statements based on individual characteristics such as gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, nationality or religion. Harassing behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.

Sexual language and imagery are not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, Twitter and other online media.

Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers.

Contact persons will serve as advisors to help and support those who may be suffering from problems of discrimination, harassment or conflict during the conference. In this case, you are warmly invited to contact, in confidence, one of the following persons: Taku Gunji (chair, male),  Yuko Sekiguchi (female),  Alexandre Camsonne, Cristiano Fanelli, Jan Bernauer,  Marco Battaglieri, Markus Diefenthaler and Shinsuke Ota.
