      Universities

      -PJ shared at the end of June all the material to prepare the TFS applications: TFS link, wording for TFS and costing.

      -Applications to be submitted before 01/09.

      -Action: to familiarise with the TFS link and submission process.

      -Action: to forewarn your local admin staff of this incoming TFS submssion and its time scale.

      Nat Labs

      -Nat Labs are instructed by STF programme to use the internal award process.

      -Nat Labs have the costing sheet from PJ and template for the internal award form.

      -Internal discussion between departments started: TD@RAL (IS), TD@DL (PA,MB), PPD (FW).

      -Action: to define how to internally approach the submission of the internal award form.

      -Action: to forewarn your local admin staff of this incoming TFS submssion and its time scale.

       

      Non-staff costs (capital):

      -MB received from PJ the table: revision and discussion on priorities in-progress/started today.

      -Key principles for prioritisation:

      ---UK Project: to safeguard the UK-SVT project deliverables as funded by the national funding agency; 

      ---SVT Technology: to develop competitiveness (skills) in high-tech detectors;

      ---International Collaboration: to safeguard/raise the UK reputation in the in the international collaboration;

      -Open points: agreement between CERN/ITS3 and DOE/BNL. [To consider/discuss impact/value/risk of capital procurement before agreement is signed].

      -Action: University of Oxford to clarify if it is OK to manage funds for capital equipment. (Split duty with Birmingham Univerisity)
