Special DNP Town hall: Nuclear Science, its Role and Impact

On Tuesday evening, the DNP will host a special town hall, Nuclear Science, its Role and Impact, organized by the DNP Funding Committee Chair.
- The Funding Committee, chaired by Karsten Heeger, will hold this special session on Tuesday evening, October 13.
- This town hall will review the activities of the committee and present its plans going forward. Mark Elsesser from APS will discuss effective advocacy efforts.
- The Nuclear Theory Scoping Committee will also report on its recent work.
- In times of change, it is important that the US Nuclear Physics community speak with a unified voice in support of science and the priorities of our field. This town hall aims to engage the community in discussing talking points and examples that highlight the role and impact of nuclear science on society and the nation. There will be an opportunity for questions and comments. An email will go out to DNP members so that anyone not at the meeting in person can register and join.
