Travel

You can easily reach Philadelphia by air, car or train. You do not need a car while being in Philadelphia. We strongly advice you to make use of the subway system or rideshare.

(1) General / Map:

You can find a general overview map of Philadelphia showing the location of the airport, AMTRAK station, Temple University along with adjacent subway stations and regional trains here. A map of the inner city area showing the public transportation system is available here. General directions to Temple University are available from here.

(2) Arrival / Departure by car:

If you come directly to the conference by car, we ask you to use the following address of the preferred parking garages:

Temple University Main campus:

Temple University Health Science campus:

(3) Arrival / Departure by train:

Philadelphia can easily be reached by train using AMTRAK. Get off at 30th Street Station and take either the SEPTA subway or the regional train. Taking the regional train has the advantage that you can directly reach the Temple University Main Campus train station. If you take the subway, you have to first take the Blue line (Market-Frankford Line) East to City Hall and then take the Orange line (Broad Street Line) North to Temple University and get off at the Broad Street line stop at Cecil B. Moore Station for the main campus and the Allegheny station for the Health Science Center Campus. Please make sure that you take the 'Local' Broad Street Line and not the 'Express' Broad Street Line.

(4) Arrival / Departure by plane:

If you decide to travel by plane, you have a large selection of airlines considering that the International Airport at Philadelphia is a major hub airport for American Airlines. Information on ground transportation is available from here.
