Description

Overview

Nuclear and particle physicists are interested in the problem of fundamental structure of nucleon and nucleus. One of the common tools is to utilize high energy photons to probe the inner structure of particles. In recent years, photon-induced interactions have been providing important experimental findings towards the understanding of QCD from free nucleon to heavy nucleus.

This workshop is to focus on photon-photon interactions and photon-pomeron interactions in both heavy ion ultra-peripheral collisions (UPCs) and electron-nucleon/nucleus collisions. In addition, this workshop aims to provide a platform for both experimentalists and theorists to discuss the open questions and future directions related to these photon-induced problems. The output of this workshop is expected to provide guidance in new measurements at current available facilities and at the future Electron-Ion Collider.

Please register for the workshop and there is no registration fee.
